“About Coal + Pitman”
This tour provides you with insights into the authentic, preserved above ground installations of Zollverein shaft XII. It goes from the mine shaft house where the coal used to arrive, through the screening plant to the coal washing plant where the coal was processed and finally loaded. You get to know the production processes of the world’s former largest and most productive black coal centres, and learn exciting details about the working and living conditions of the Zollverein miners.

Note: We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and clothing that stands up to the weather.

Stefan Meyer, city of Northeim, Eigenbetrieb Abwasserbeseitigung

  • “I am very satisfied with the 3rd BaSYS User Conference because it succeeded in imparting a lot of technical, helpful information in a pleasant atmosphere. You feel well cared for and in good hands.”
Achim Rabe, Planungsbüro Poch + Zänker GmbH, Erfurt

  • “It was perfectly organised, the hotel was very good. The evening event was highly successful and a nice, informative change of pace in fresh air. The choice of presentations and workshops was excellent. Since they impart concrete knowledge for day-to-day work, the workshops in particular are a great enrichment for the event. I look forward to coming again...”
Reinhold Heisterkamp, GDS Geo Daten Service GmbH

  • “The UC is a ‘must’ for BaSYS users to always keep up to date.”
    Tim Oertel, ISO-Ingenieurbüro GmbH & Co.KG

Claudia Müller, city of Bocholt, Entsorgungs- u. Servicebetrieb Stadtentwässerung

  • “I enjoyed the user conference because it is an excellent opportunity for networking with other users, and to obtain ideas for own projects in the course of the technical presentations. Not to mention that the event takes place in a pleasant environment!”
